Okay, it is late, and I am just going to jot a couple of thoughts before I toddle off to bed. Hump Day has turned more into Grump Day with little going the way that I had planned. It started of well enough: a log jam with a client has broken, and now I am driving the schedule. Sweet! Of course, the timing is a little dicey, seeing as I will be away all weekend, starting Friday morning. Oh well, they made ME wait...
Talked to Chris, thought that it would be a night that we spent together. He has a new toy, an old Nissan Z that reminds him of the Mach 5 (he sang the theme song) that he would like to repair and paint to resemble our second-favorite cartoon car (Speed Buggy, anyone?) And if any one of you stoners mentions the Mystery Van, why I'll... Anyway, he said that he needed to get some gas and change the tire and do something else and that he would call after he was done. That was oh, 4 hours ago.
Had my first group session with the Pathways Rehab people. Sitting in a room with a bunch of vacant-eyed drunks was NOT my idea of fun. I did learn that the US is 33rd in per capita alcohol consumption. The moderator asked what we thought a reason for that might be. I said crystal meth, but got few laughs. Tough room, I tell ya!
Nothing new on the news front seeing that I got home at 8:30 after being away for 4 hours in what should have been a 2 hour trip. And yes, I will keep whining about that until I am driving again.
I pick up the business cards tomorrow morning, and the site is ready to go for the most part. It is up on the testing server here. There are some that are looking forward to it, so here is the sneaky peeky. Comments are welcome, just remember that I only have a day to make changes.
As for the title, Pythagoras had it half right. Farting is a release, but it augments the soul when done right. A blast in the morning to signify your solitude is a statement of innocent, juvenile luxury; anyone who farts in public and doesn't giggle should be checked to see if a soul remains. And anyone who can fart on command should be given at least a People's Choice. That is talent worth recognizing if you ask me.
Tomorrow is the final approach...later.
