Red Curry Something for lunch and collard greens were the highlights of an otherwise dismally boring day. I did get some buttons designed for an external client, so it wasn't a complete waste. I searched on line for a magenta/fuchsia shirt to wear to the WATB conference at the end of the week. At 4:00 AM on Sunday I came up with the idea that I should wear magenta and black to match the business cards at the opening reception. So, far online searches from Old Navy to International Male have turned up nothing. I saw a couple of magenta polo shirts on EBay, but they look a little worn. I think that it is better to look great than match the cards. I would like to do both.
Home on the 36 bus. Half-empty and ghetto-free. Heaven.
The redesign of the website reflecting the new logo is nearly complete. I have decided to retain the basic design from the first wire frame, but I made the site lighter by extending the image down and adding a frost to my text area. I personally love it and cannot wait until it goes live. The site reflects the design of the other collateral and I feel confident that it will represent me well. I wonder if it would be overkill to color my linked text magenta? Anyway, I need to start slicing the image for the web and getting ready to roll it out. I will tackle that tomorrow when I am back from Philly. The plan is to have it live Wednesday night so I can get real time feed-back and tweak before I put it in front of the writers.

Sad to hear about Richard Jeni dying. I never found him particularly funny as a stand up comedian, but I found out that his best work was writing for shows like the Oscars when Chris Rock hosted. It is the same with Bruce Vilanch. Not funny at all on stage but he was a whiz with the writing on Hollywood Squares. I am still holding out for you, Whoopi.
Chris and I talked a couple of times today, although they seemed a little forced and I was reluctant to talk frankly while I was in the office. The problem was that I didn't have that much to say to him once I got out of the building. I did invite him to dinner and a movie here sometime soon. He said that he would call later today. Have not heard from him as of this writing. Probably a blessing in disguise. I would not have gotten a thing done if he were here now.
Amy and I are in Philly tomorrow morning for her hair appointment at Salon Thalia. I wish my cards were done so I could hand one to that cutie co-owner Michael. I like that they put photos of the stylists so that you can learn names and faces without embarrassment.
So dropping off a suit to the dry cleaners, perhaps finding a shirt at Buffalo Exchange in Philly, getting the quote in from Dan about the cards and posting M19 are the goals for tomorrow.
Until then!
